    2. How do we get a copy of the book? LaFon Stone Commander (grand-daughter of Lamora Page Wells) In a message dated 7/1/2009 1:15:52 A.M. Central Daylight Time, [email protected] writes: Thanks to all who provided clues to getting the second book by ERP. I finally organized my files and found that I had it all along. It is now fully digitized and ready to pass on to anyone who might like to have it for the record. I would also like to compare notes on the GEDCOM produced from it to see if I have entered it all correctly. This is just one tiny segment of the DNA Family Line 'E' covering descendants of John Page and Phebe Paine. Sylvia I am wondering if your last name might have been written Houghton at an earlier time? Perhaps you are related to the Pages in more than one way. Do you know of Dorothy Houghton who married Thomas (4) Page, had two sons who both died and she herself died in 1758. He then married my other ancestor Mary Knight in 1759. 1. [PAGE] Page Family ?
    2. I have a Catharine Page as an ancestor who married Samuel Ault in Lycoming County, PA in 1811. She was born in Northumberland Co in 1794. In 1795 Lycoming was taken from Nothumberland, so surmise she was married where she was born. Evidence has it that she was the daughter of Abraham/Abram Page. Samuel and Catharine went to IL in 1850 with many of their children.....stopping in IN at probably Abram's who had gone there, to have her child. Is possibly this PAGE family relative to the book mentioned here? Evelyn Bryan **************Dell Summer Savings: Cool Deals on Popular Laptops – Shop Now! 3. I did a Google book search which led me to "World Cat". Two books were located for the 1906 edition, one at the Buffalo& Erie NY Public Library and the second at the Rochester, NY Public Library. The book is just 42 pages. I sent an email to the library asking if they would photocopy the entire book for me.. Their reply was to order it on an interlibrary loan through your local public library. It is not their policy to copy an entire book, however they will copy a selected page number. You can access the books at www.worldcat.org in their search engine put in the books name "The Record of the Page Family by Elijah Ransom Page" 1906 edition. Apparently it was originally copied by the Ontario Public Library, however that Library name did not come up in the search. The book number on world cat was #36312484. 3. Ruthanne, as a suggestion, try contacting the Ontario County Public Library. Amazon had the 1906 book published by Ontario and it might be there is a copy in the local library.

    3. Dear Page Listers: Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the SECOND book by Elijah Ransom Page? He wrote one in 1904 showing his genealogy linked to the PAIGE family of Bedford Flag fame, then perhaps realizing that this was not the right family, wrote another one in 1906 that I think shows his connection back to the John Page + Phebe Paine line now known as DNA Family Line 'E'. I have a few pages of that book from a cousin but not all. I am somehow missing the vital links. The confusion exists about which John Page that line goes back to. This 1906 book was reported to be in the Buffalo Public Library at one time. Amazon shows that they have it - except that somebody else has it and would be willing to part with it for the cost and a finders fee to Amazon. They have had my order for about a year though and nobody has come forth with the book that is apparently available. It now sounds like maybe is might be available for higher than the $20 suggested before. But nobody seems to come out and say 'It is available for $30 or maybe $40 or whatever' and I am pretty tired of playing games. I would be glad to pay Xeroxing costs if someone could send me that complete book or do the actual job for me. It possibly isn't a very big book. Higginsons Books of Salem Mass. who normally has a lot of books I want does NOT have it either. There are several relatives from that line who watch this newsgroup and I am hoping one of you will have it. I will be writing you soon. I am wondering if maybe someone has discovered some big mix-up or error in this second book too that seems to invalidate it somehow. This could be the reason for the book disappearing from the face of the earth but I would greatly appreciate hearing from anyone with a few more details on this. So many of the genealogy authors of 100 years ago did the best they could and it was exceptional for the time. A lot of families they were researching were listed incorrectly by the great experts of the time as being related to someone else when they really weren't. Research as we know it today was impossible. We will slowly figure out the rest of the story. Best wishes to all, Ruthanne Page

    1. [PAGE] Seeking info re. MARY M. KINION PAGE, 1st Wife of Jos. Page Lincoln Co, MO
    2. The Hockmans
    3. I'm seeking info re. MARY M. (?) KINION PAGE, wife of JOSEPH PAGE. My primary concern is finding proof positive of her maiden name. I believe she was the dau. of ARMINIUS DOBYNS (b.1807; VA, d. 1888; Lawrence Co, MO) and JOANNA McCOLLOM (b. abt 1813; KY, d. bet. 1837-1946). Mary M. was b. abt. 1837; Lincoln Co., MO and probably died bet. 21 Jan 1872 and 15 Nov 1877. Her first husband was CHARLES KINION, who died in 1860 from a rabid dog bite. They had 2 daus.: MARY E. KINION (b. abt 1859 d.?) and EMILY J. 'Emma' KINION (b. 6 Nov 1860 d. 18 Sep 1912 m. Geo W. Monroe) MARY M. married my G. grandfather JOSEPH PAGE (b. May 1836(38) in (Dublin) Ireland.) He, as a young lad came to USA as a stowaway on a ship. Made his way from NY to Bedford Tnsp, Lincoln Co., MO. On 18 Dec 1861, he married widow MARY M. KINION; they had 3 children: JOHN F. PAGE(1865-1891; married, Cassie Galloway (his parents not listed on death rec.) JOHANNA PAGE (1870-1933); married O. Hugh Turpin (DC list mother's maiden name as Kinion (which, of course, is Mary M.'s name from her 1st marriage) WILLIAM HENRY (1872-1961) married Mary Katherine Smith. William H. was my grandfather. (DC has no name listed for his mother) Joseph's wife Mary M. apparently died, as he married widow TENNESSEE BARNES MUMFORD on 15 Nov 1877; they had 3 children. I am attempting to locate either MARY M. KINION PAGE's birth or death record, her and Chas. Kinion's marriage record, their 1st dau.'s death certificate or some other good documentation to confirm Mary M.'s maiden name. Their 2nd dau.'s DC lists her father as Chas. Kinion and mother's name as Miranda Dobbins. Dobyns was often misspelled as Dobbins. I have a possible explanation for the name Miranda , but won't go into details in this request. Would appreciate any assistance anyone can provide. Thanks. Allison Hockman
