Hello to all on the Page List, I am searching for the parents and siblings of my 4x great grandmother Jemima Page b. about 1754 in VA. She married William Harvey about 1774 in NC (an assumption it could have been VA). Tradition says that she died in Indiana about 1850. William and Jemima (Page) Harvey settled in Indiana in the early 1800s. Their first location was Wayne Co., IN, then they moved on to Henry Co., IN. They were the parents of eleven children: Evan, Sarah, Mary, John P., Elizabeth, Benjamin, Michael, William, Absalom, James, and Nancy. All of the children were born in NC. Any information would be deeply appreciated. I will share any and all information that I have. Nancy Beall sundial22@aol.com

Hi all, I'm looking for parents of Joseph L. Page (b.1781 PA). His wife's name was Elsy (1797-1857), children were Charles, Joseph, Ann, Hugh, Hannah, Elsie, Suzena & Garry. The family moved from Pennsylvania to Ohio and then to Michigan about 1845. Thanks, Dereka Seigel.
I've come out of the clouds from that nice compliment that Dean Hunt paid to me on this BB and I want to say this.... No one person has all the answers. Each person comes at this work (fun) from a different angle, with different families who married into their line. Each has amassed records different from the others and EVERYONE has something that someone else has not found yet. There's so much to be found that no one person can ever get it all. We can only get what we can and then try to share it with others who may be looking for something that we have in our records. Even beginners always have something to add to everyone's knowledge of their families. Don't think that, just because you have just started this wonderful hobby, you don't have anything to contribute. It is very often that a beginner has that record or even a little slip of paper that an ancestor has written something on that solves a problem that we long-time researchers have never been able to solve with all of our years of research. So, keep on plugging and sharing..... Dolores

I have Margery's Page records which she shared with me several years ago. I have been actively pursuing the English ancestors of the immigrant George Page of Branford, which resulted in a book: "The Descendants of Robart Page of the King's House- The Probable English Origins, Ancestors, and Relatives of George Page of Branford Connecticut and Thomas Page of Saco in the Province of Maine" written and published by me in 1992. Further research resulted in an addendum to this book. I am always interested in finding additional descendants of this emigrant Page ancestor and sharing info. Descendants of George Page of Branford remain in the New Haven, CT area, but most migrated c. 1790 to Greene Co., NY, thence to Oneida, Madison, Otsego, Chenango, Broome, Livingston, Yates, counties in upstate NY. Further migrations over the years took the Page families to Ohio, Michigan, Missouri, and all points west. My gr. grandfather and gr. gr. grandfather were born in and/or lived in Nunda, Livingston County, NY, the family having migrated from Oneida and Greene Counties, NY and Branford, Conn.! If your Page ancestor came from CT or upstate NY there is a very good possibility you are descended from this emigrant Page ancestor. From my extensive PAF database file (13,000 records), I may be able to make your connection if you are descended from the George Page of Branford. If this is the case, I have much valuable genealogical data to share with you that will take your Page ancestry back to the late 1200's in England. I found two Desire Pages in my database: The first one was a Desire Page [the dau. of Aaron and Desire (Grannis) Page of East Haven and Litchfield, Conn. & Penn Yan, Yates Co., NY], who was christened on 27 Oct. 1771 in Conn. I know nothing more about her. She was obviously not your Desire Page but she may have died young and another of their daughters that I don't know about born later and named Desire Page. The second more important one was Desire Page, born 18 Mar. 1782 in Warren, Litchfield, Conn., the daughter of Daniel & Caroline (Catlin) Page. According to my database this Desire married a Unk. Hill! Daniel Page was the son of Abel & Sarah (Towner) Page, who was the son of George Page, Jr. and his wife Mary Hall of Branford, Conn., George Jr. was of course the son of George Page of Branford, Conn.. Please send me your snail mail address and I'll send you Family Group Records of her family back up her Page line to our immigrant ancestor, George Page of Branford, Conn.. Or, depending on your genealogical program I can send you a GEDCOM file of her ancestry which would include all my notes. In return I would like to have a Personal Ancestrial File (PAF) useable GEDCOM file from you of Desire Page's descendants. I hope I have made your day! Regards, Col. George W. I have lost my gr gr gr grandmother in Livingston Co, NY. Her name was Desire PAGE b bet 1784 and 1794, according to the 1810 census of Stueben Co, NY (poss in CT according to a family history.) She m Darius Gates HILL bef 1811 (poss in VT, again, according to a family history). Their children were: Elisha HILL b 2 Sep 1811 Schoharie Co, NY Charles HILL John HILL Henry HILL b 15 Mar 1819 Ogden, Monroe Co, NY Juliza HILL b 20 Apr 1821 NY Desire PAGE d bef 1826, poss in Livingston Co, NY, as I found a deed recorded 28 Mar 1827 at Geneseo where Darius and his 2nd wife Wealthy BLODGETT purchased land in the town of Springwater, Livingston Co, NY. I have been to Springwater and Canandaguia to do research (on 2 separate occasions), but have not been able to find a trace of Desire PAGE. After her death, and the second marriage of Darius HILL to Wealthy BLODGETT, the family moved to Mundy Twp, Genesee Co, MI. Over the years I have compiled much information on the descendants of Desire PAGE and Darius Gates HILL, as well as information on the descendants from the second marriage of Darius to Wealthy BLODGETT that I would be willing to share. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Pat in Michigan uimcpa1@cardina.net
True about beginners being able to contribute information that may solve a puzzle the seasoned researcher hasn't been able to solve. Such as a family Bible, letters or documents being hidden away in the attic, packed away when a relative passed on generation ago which may contain those valuable names and dates that would link one line to another. Just wished someone would find one for my Page family :-( Steven Page -- * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Got a business? Got a hobby?
