    3. Does anyone have any information about the Page surname on Somers Island. I found a note that i had copied a while back from the Complete Book of Emmigrants by Coldham. it was on "1658 Antonye Page, an inhabitant of Somers Island to Monmouth 1667" It stated the source was from the Corp of London Records Office. I beleive this might possibly be the same Anthony Page who was listed as one of the original lot owners of Middletown, Monmouth NJ in 1667. Is anyone familiar with the Corp of London Records Office? thanks Mathew Page mapage@prodigy.net

    3. As many of you have seen with my post, I have been at a brick wall for years searching for my great-grandfather's patents. Recently a kind research spent *MANY* hours digging in SC archives since 2 of my "Richard PAGE" sons moved there. He found them both and both of their death certificates state the father was named John Richard PAGE - not the Richard S. Page I have been seeking all this time. With this in mind, has anyone information on a John Page born c. 1832 in NC who had a wife named Sarah? Another piece of information poped out at me at the same time. I had place marked Owen Page (1790-1850) as being the possible father to my great-grandfather and someone passed along that he had a daughter named Penny that married a Bennett Hardy. Well, looking at Sampson County, NC wills, my Hardy BENNETT had a wife named Penny listed in his will probate 1870. This would have been either a second or third wife married c. 1863. This also must be the same couple! Note that Hardy Draughon BENNETT (1802-1870) had a daughter named Sarah Elizabeth (1834-1908) which is supposed to be my Richard's wife (now possibly named John Richard Page). Can anyone pass along ANY bits of information on these names that may help break down this wall of confusion? Steven Page Got a business? Got a hobby? Need a WEB PAGE Designed or maintained? 1. [PAGE-L] Exol Information
    2. Don
    3. Dolores, that was a good piece of information in your last message. Thanks, Charles and Barbara, for the work. I now can wonder about other concepts. I, too, with my wife, visited K&Q Co, last spring, and visited the Exol Farm, now owned by The Millers, and walked the area where the Exol Family lived. Took pictures of the swamp and the present farm, also visited the old Exol Church site. There are still four walls standing. This was not the original building. The graveyard is across the road (they cut the road through the graveyard, between the graveyard and the building). There are many gravestones there but not any that I found that connect to our family or the Exol's. This church was established much later than Exol's time, 1775, but was named Exol because of its location. There is some history of this church in various publications which I won't go into now, but the best info is contained in publications of the K&Q County Historical Society of VA. The church and graveyary are located at the corner on Exol Road and Pine Tree road , not too far from the K&Q courthouse. There is no information on the Exol Family at the courthouse. I did find an old map that locates Exol swamp and the location of the church building and trails to it and town, but it was a late map, 1800 I think. More info later as it develops. Don Page
