Looking for the parents of John W Page born approx 1837 in Virginia. I descend from his daughter Eliza Mcferrin Page born in Cannon county Tennessee on August 6th of 1880. Her mother and father were John W. Page and Francis "Fannie" Mcferrin. Documents: Eliza's death certificate listing John W Page as her father and Fannie Mcferrin as her mother. 1880 Cannon county Tennessee cencus record: John W Page (Age 43)as head of household born in Virginia, mother and father born in Virginia Francis F Page age 33 wife Elizabeth M Page 12 daughter Edith B Page 10 daughter William F Page 5 son Martin A Page 2 son My great grandmother Eliza Mcferrin Page was not listed on the cencus as she was born in August after the cencus was taken. Cannon County Tennessee marriage record for John W. Page and Fannie F McFerrin August 21 1866. Land deed from Nov. 12 1870 in Cannon County when they purchaed their farm. Just received more info from a cousin also searching. Marion W. Page married Elizabeth White. Marion had a brother named Claude. Marion was a Baptist preacher who lost a leg in the Civil war. Marion & Elizabeth had the following children: George Washington Page (1881-1963) (married Mabel Phelps), Tilton Page, Marion Page (named after father Marion), Angie (1874-1934) (Mamie Angela) Page (married John Brown), and Lenora Page (married a Morgan). Part of my research at the Lafayette Co., MO courthouse in the 1970's showed the following: Thomas Collins and Axcel H. Page were securities with Richard Collins who was appointed the administrator of the estate of William Collins who died intestate - 12 Nov 1835 Axel H. Page left a will, but did not name an executor; so Axel's son, Marble W. Page was appointed the executor of the estate on 31 Aug 1840 with his securities Joseph H. Page, Granville R. Page and Richard H. Page Axel Heath Page's Will Signed: 13 Aug 1830 Probated: 7 Sep 1840 Named heirs as: wife Sally children: Marble Watts Page John Burton Page Joseph Henry Page Richard Fountain Page Granville R. Page Axel Heath Page No executor named in will. Wits.: William Ward John Warren A codicil was added to the above on 14 Aug 1830 with the same witnesses. This appears to be a 2nd marriage for this Axel Heath PAGE, Sr. of Lafayette Co., MO and the Sarah of the above census is this Sally. I couldn't find Sarah (Sally) in the 1840 Census of Lafayette Co., MO. Perhaps she was living with her RICHIE children....I haven't checked that yet. I think that the above RICHIE family might have been her family by her 1st husband....a RICHIE. Axel Heath PAGE, Jr. was no doubt the one who md. Anna SWEENEY in Warren Co., KY on 8 Jan 1835. Hi: I am new to the list. One of my ancestors, Mary Ann Page Haskins, was born in Amelia County, VA, about 1824. She married Edwin A. Vaughan in Amelia County. Looking for info in Oregon on John T. PAGE B:1 Dec 1869 Phelps Co, MO (s/o John Wilson Page and Christena Jacobs) Family Bible says he died 10 Jan 1888. He wrote a letter to his sister in ID on 13 Oct 1887 from Huntington,OR. He was going to go to Salem. What happened to John T.? Where and why did he die?
