Greetings everyone, Today, while doing some research, trying to find the elusive first wife of the Rev. James Page, I came across these Page births in Monroe County, KY. These are from Reel #994094, Vital Statistics, Mennifee Co. to Montgomery Co.KY, and are microfilm of what looks to be the original handwritten records. I must apologize that I cannot guarantee that I have interpreted them correctly. The microfilm is very scratched from hard use, and the reader I was using was right by a window; the lighting being poor at best. While not having any success on my original search, it is my hope that some of you may find something useful in this posting. M. Finally received SS info on Garnett S. PAGE. His middle name is Selvie. He was born 28 Dec 1900, Higbee, Randolph Co., MO. His parents were George Hilton PAGE and Careen OWEN (S) PAGE. Garnett was first married to Mae Christene ROBB. She died 1925 and is buried Higbee Cemetary next to George and Careen OWEN PAGE. He was married 2nd to Ethel ________. Their children were Robert E. and Billy. Billy died about 1950. Garnett died 1976, Darien, CT, probably at the home of his son, Robert E. PAGE. I do not know if Robert E. is still living. Does anyone have the name SELVIE in their lines in Missouri? Thanks Linda
Would any Page researcher like to elaborate on the following comment that was sent to me quit a few years ago with no source refferanced, about the time I started digging for my roots. I found it while going through some old records yesterday. "John Page was one of three brothers, who came from England (date ??) and settle in Richmond, New Kent Co., VA. He moved to Carrol Co., TN, then to Gibson Co.,TN and built the 1st mill on Forked Deer River. On 15 July 1777 John Page (Sr) enlisted in the 5th S. C. Regiment (*3). On 20 Sep 1777, James Page (Sr), possible brother of John Page (Sr), enlisted in the 5th S. C. Regiment (*3 & N. S. 853)" Can anyone verify this with documenttation Marshall
Hi, Dean, Here is a listing of the Henry PAGE men in the SC KY area of Barren, Monroe, Metcalfe Cos. that belong to the Anderson Page line: Henry Jeffers PAGE (1855-1927) - son of John B. PAGE & Nancy Elizabeth COX. John B. was the son of James PAGE and grandson of Anderson PAGE - this Henry J. PAGE is buried in the Summer Shade, KY cemetery John Henry PAGE (1861-d. 11 Mar 1910) - son of Anderson T. PAGE, brother of John B. PAGE, above. This is your wife's ancestor, as you know. Is the death date on him wrong? I don't have a Henry PAGE who died in 1910 except for the date you gave me for your wife's grandfather. John Henry PAGE (1873-1956) - son of James Chastain PAGE, son of John B. PAGE and Nancy Elizabeth COX (above) and cousin to your wife's grandfather. I don't have a listing of his children. Was that another Henry PAGE in your last Dr.'s post? Was the 11 Mar 1910 death date for THIS Henry or your wife's grandfather? From what you said, I'm assuming that the 11 Mar 1910 date is for your wife's g'f. Do I have the wrong date for the last John Henry PAGE's death??? I'm confused....doesn't take much!!! When did the "other" Henry die and where??? Dolores in California

WHERE DID THEY GO????? Last year, I submitted 10 posts to PAGE-L on the PAGE families who settled in Goochland Co., VA in the mid-1700's. A number of persons have contacted me and asked how they could get these posts. They can be downloaded by contacting: http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl When you get there: (all box entries are done without the quotes) 1. Type "PAGE" (without the quotes) in the box labeled "Name of List" and then click on "Submit Query". 2. In the box labeled "Query", put "Dolores C. Rutherford" and click on "1998" and "Search". This will bring up every message that I sent that year. 3. Keep scrolling on down the list until you get to the ones that have the following "Filenames". These will be my ten-part series on the Goochland Co., VA PAGEs and they will show up as Part 1, Part 2, etc.. The last one (Part 10) will appear first and then they will go back to Part 1. Part 1 - FILENAME #53 " 2 - " 55 " 3 - " 57 " 4 - " 60 " 5 - " 62 " 6 & 7 - " 63 " 8 " 64 " 9 & 10 -" 65 4. When you get each of these, click on "File" and that message will show up. Then click on "Full" at the bottom to get the full message. Each may be printed separately on line. Please note that my E-Mail address has been changed to: dcr555@softcom.net A number of persons on PAGE-L have requested that I continue posting the families of these original Goochland Co., VA PAGEs and I have decided to do so since am not planning to write a book on them and I have so much information on them from my research and published abstracts. In the original treatise, I gave the three main PAGE men letters to correspond with the first letter in their first names so as to distinguish their descendants from each other and they will be continued the same way here: E - Exolheath PAGE R - Robert PAGE J - John PAGE Several other PAGE families were also discussed that, to my know- ledge, have not been tied in (but who are probably related in some way) to those listed above and I made my "guesses" as to where these might belong. These families will be covered at the end of this third generation of the families. Even with care, errors may occur from time-to-time in these posts and it is my hope that other researchers of these families will feel free to add further information, correct any errors therein or offer their different opinions on these lineages. Please post these corrections, etc. on the PAGE-L so all can benefit from them. These installments will appear as I get them written, but not in daily posts. The next posts will cover the famiiies of the children of Exolheath PAGE ("E" Series).

Does anyone out there have easy access to the 1850 and/or 1860 Georgia census? I could sure use a lookup on a Page family in Randolph Co that included a Marion Washington Page as child (born abt 1940) and Claude Page as a child. I found Marion in a later FL census that indicated he was born in Randolph Co., GA. Don't know his parents names, but the number of Pages shouldn't be very large, it certainly wasn't in Fl. If anyone can help, please let me know. Thanks. Bill willbees@mediaone.net
I am searching for the ancestors of Grace WHITE born Feb. 9, 1809 in Georgia. She married Bennett PAGE about 1828 and died after 1880 in Conecuh County, Alabama. She may have a brother Levi WHITE and a sister Lucinda WHITE and possibly other siblings. Her father is reported to be Thomas WHITE born in Green County, Georgia. Has any Page researcher come across any info on these Whites? Thanks. The Rev. Wayne Dean Sr.

I want to post this in case someone is looking for this person. Name; CHARLES W. PAGE. I have a book on the Cemetery Burials at the Oregon State Hospital in Salem, Oregon. Mr. Page of Grant County, died July 10 1898 [age 33, Born in California] He was born around 1865, depending on what month he was born. This book was published by the Willamette Valley Genealogical Society, P.O. Box 2083, Salem, Oregon 97308. The book has a list of over 1600. I was reading the names and came across Mr. Page. I hope someone is looking for him and sees my letter. Sincerely, Eloise Page, nvbear@tele-net.net
I am trying to trace roots of my grandfather Edgar Page, who lived in Kansas City, MO in late 1800s -1910. His second wife was Anna Matilda Nordquist, born in Kansas City, I believe on 8/10/1879. She bore him three children (Charles) Wesley, Raymond and Gladys, who died as a baby. He was previously married and had a child named Eva from that marriage, who Anna Matilda raised. Edgar's had a sister Katie, who worked in Los Angeles, at Luna Park (Amusement Park). Edgar went there in approx. 1909 to work at Luna Park and sent for his wife and children in 1910. Katie later married in LA, had a son Bryson, and then died in the 1918 flu epidemic while pregnant. Edgar apparently died in San Francisco on a business trip in 1928. If anyone knows anything, I would be thrilled. Joe Page

David Page and his brother Stephen Page marched out of Bennington during the Revolutionary War. I'm seeking other ancestors of these two brothers. Brenda Page Hare
I now have the death certificate for my Abraham Page!! He was born February 8, 1833 in South Carolina.(We have White Pond, SC, which would be in Barnwell District, SC) It names his father Unknown Page and his mother Sarah McLemore. Thus, more or less confirming Abraham Page(will dated 16 Sept 1845) of Barnwell District. Sarah Page with sons Jacob(b. betw. 1815-1817), Matthew(b. abt 1829), Abraham(b. 1833), and Joshua(b. abt 1841) all moved to Copiah Co ca 1859. Daughter Matilda, who apparently married a McLemore, may have moved to Copiah County also. I am still trying to find information on Abraham Page's(b. 1833) siblings. I am also trying to prove or disprove that Jacob Page of Barnwell District was Abraham's grandfather. Or, find any other possible grandfather. I thank so many for the extesive help in locating/giving me information on my Page family. Nicole L Martin Salome@main.com
