Annie Bertha Criswell, daughter of John A. Criswell and Amanda Harrelson married William Shotwell. He died in 1902 and Bertha then married Robert Page. Robert and Bertha had three children, Viola, Edna and Robert E.
The problem with the Shotwell, Page marriage is that in 1900 she is married to William Shotwell and has several children. In 1880 there is a John a. Criswell living in audrain County with and a John C. Criswell in another county. Shotwell, Criswell?
According to the Missouri marriage data base Robert Page married Bertha Shotwell on 2 May 1902 in Audrain County. Bertha Shotwell can be found on the 1900 census in audrain County. She was born in Mar 1873 according to the census. So the info on the death certificate is probably incorrect.
According to his death certificate Robert Page was born 28 May 1870 in Illinois, son of Thomas. He died on 8 July 1934 from hypostatic pneumonia. Bertha Page was born on 3 Mar 1873 in Missouri the daughter of John c. Criswell (? hard to read) and Amanda Harlson. She died on 6 Dec 1936 in audrain County of pulmonary tuberculosis. I think that Florence Page (maiden name Black) was married to the son of Robert and Martha. Robert E. Page was the informant on his wife's death certificate and that of his mother and father. I think Florence was the daughter in Law rather than the daughter.

Yes - that's my 3 x great grandfather's household, 20 Bury St, in 1841 - 'Horran' is Horace Haverhill and 'Lane' is Henry's wife Jane. Henry Page's father Thomas died in Dartford, Kent in 1821, his age at death indicating a birth year around 1744. Ian
The recent item mentioning the Page family of Haverhill of Massachusetts caught my eye. My 2 x great grandfather had a brother who was christened Horace Haverhill Page in 1828 (St James, Westminster), and I have always wondered about the significance of his middle name, and whether it might hold a clue to my Page family's origins. I know that Horace Haverhill Page's father was born in Surrey, England but I have been unable to trace Horace's grandfather's origin: Thomas Page, born around 1744. There is certainly no one else in the family with Haverhill as either a forename or a surname. The family has no connection with 'the other Haverhill' in Suffolk, UK. I wonder whether this Thomas Page had relatives in Haverhill Massachusetts, whether he might have been born there and re-migrated to England.
