    2. When I first saw this message, I did not realize that the message was addressed to me. I did not include important facts because I did not really realize I was addressing the entire board - my thoughts were focused on asking the original sender of the "Raymond Irvin Page" inquiry whether *she/he* had any thoughts on the coincidence of first names. I have searched a number of sources already - I have been searching since probably the mid-1980s. In my message below, I addressed a couple of them - the most information I have been able to get was at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, where there is a census which is apparently not available at any other location. And George Page has been most amiable in answering my inquiries, even though we both know that my husband's 12-marker DNA test was insufficient to make any definitive conclusions (or any at all). I'll not bother you further. 2. Hi and welcome to the page family.. If you are searching for your husband's Page family, then a death record may give you some good clues, either his father' or his cousins.. 3. As I began my genealogical search for my PAGE line, way back there, I finally narrowed my choices to the Goochland or the Isla of Wight bunch. 3. I would have Thanksgiving with George Nelson Page (b.1809) and his wife Betsy Ham. I would ask who his parents were. If his land had been handed down to him. What his four small children died from and if I had found all the ones who lived. I'm sure I could ask a million other questions. I would ask Betsy how her family came to be in Wellington, Maine from Portsmouth, NH for her birth. Page ****************************************** ldworthi@yahoo.com   Live simply. Love generously. 3. Hi to the List . . . I am helping a gentleman with his PAGE research and I asked George which ancestor he would like to have come to Thanksgiving Dinner and what would he ask him or her. He said that he would like more info on who Daniel H. PAGE's parents were. Daniel was b. 7 Jul 1853 in North Carolina and d. 6 Feb 1923 in Craighead county, AR. He would like to know what the H. stood for. Daniel had two wives. The first wife was Elizabeth Frances Ragan b. abt 1850 in Hardeman county, TN and d. between 1880 - 1884 in the next county over - McNairy county, TN. To this union were born 3 children: W. Jesse, Mary Frances and Alma B. PAGE. Daniel's second wife was Nancy C. (unknown) and she was b. abt 1854 in TN. She d. 20 Apr 1901 in Jonesboro, Craighead county, AR. To this union, 7 children were born: Mattie E., Walter T., Maggie M., John W., Bedford M., Luther H. and Eula F. PAGE. Daniel H. PAGE was the son of W. Jesse and Sarah (unknown) PAGE. Daniel was one of 11 children: James J., Joseph M., Chesley Everett, Isaac G., Nathaniel L., Nancy G., Arvey (?) Matilda, Laird T., John A. and Eli PAGE. George would like to know exact birth, death and marriage dates and where the PAGE's came from before North Carolina. (He doesn't want too much does he?) Thank you in advance . . . Lynn R. 2. Hi, I would invite Samuel Page, my gggrandfather to our dinner. I would ask, Samuel, where were you really born, the US or Canada? If you were born in the US, why did you go to Canada and why did you return about 1857-58 to Chemung Co NY? I understand you were born about 1815. You also had a wife (or was she?) named Jane Bogart, what happened to her? The rest of your children have Minerva/Sarah Moody listed as their mother. There are lots of other questions I would like to ask but these are the main ones right now. Nancy Pakkala

    3. Yes nothing on him really showed up. I know where he and his wife are buried even have her death certificate but the information on John's death was recently told to me by another relative who remembers her great aunt (who was a granddaughter of John's) telling her the story so I have been trying to confirm or deny the tale. Thanks I sent an email to the Historical Library in Kansas will see if they have any suggestions. 3. I too would ask all these questions in addition to another for his son John R Page born 1841 Ohio? I would ask what the R stood for and I would like to know if rumor is true he died July 12, 1885 in Crawford Co Kansas from a proposed gunshot he received opening his front door late one night and if this was true who the murderer was? 3. I'd invite Archelaus Page, b. 1803 NY. d. 1865 Pontiac, Livingston Co, IL. And Archelaus Page, father of Charles Nelson Preston Page, would of course talk about his boys who were in the Civil War, and the one who came home so ill that he died before he could go back to his unit. I'd want to know about his parents, and hear why he migrated from NY to PA to OH with his father-in-law Christian Holmes (d. 1850-1860 OH). I also want to know about his brother Ezekiel.
