    1. [PAGE] Ninian Tannehill
    2. John E. Brach
    3. I need some help with the time line for the life of Ninian Tannehill. Ninian was born about 1782 in South Carolina. He died about 1863-65 in Logan County, Kentucky. He had 7 children some of whom are mentioned by name in his handwritten will. In 1805 there is a marriage record for Ninian Tannehill and Anna McCurdy. Logan County Will abstracts names Lucy Page, daughter of Leonard Page and Jane Hodges as his wife. I would like to know if Ninian was married to Lucy prior to Anna McCurdy or after Anna McCurdy. Some have a death date for Anna of 1835 and Lucy as after 1870 in Logan County, Kentucky. Does any one have a marriage date for Ninian and Lucy so I can sort the children? In his will Ninian says that his daughter Mary married Henry Blanchard. I have a date of birth for Mary as 1823 but there is a marriage record for Mary and Henry as 1825. Meaning that Mary was probably born about 1803 or 1804. Man I am confused. And looking on Ancestry does not help as many people have the children born before the birth of the wives and spouses not separated. I have one grandchild who died in the 1930's who carried the middle name of mcCurdy but his father was one of the last children that Ninian had. So I am lost. Can anyone help.

    1. Re: [PAGE] Marriage
    2. Possible answer to the inquiry listed below: In looking at the 1870 census for Logan Co., KY, I find a John Page (26) married to a Mary. They have two children: Walter (1) and Isabella (5/12). He could be the son of Thomas S. and Catherine Page. I looked at the Logan Co. 1860 census and under the household of Thomas there is a smeared name but it looks like John, age 16. At least, this gives you a possibility. Charlie Scott, Louisville In a message dated 2/1/2011 11:48:56 A.M.
