    3. I am including all of these in my answer as our Williams from Monaghan Co., Ireland are connected to the Campbells or some of them through the marriage of a Williams daughter marrying a Campbell. I don't have the tree in front of me but the Armstrongs, Campbells, Widneys and William Williams came to Franklin Co. in the late 1700s. There is a Wilson and Patterson connection to the Widneys along with several other lines that seem to follow through...the Linn/Lynns are one of them. Don't know about the Beatty line but the Johnston name figures prominently in the Widneys. If you have a full date of birth AND know where her parents are buried you could try scanning the cemetery records to see if you can find an Elizabeth with a matching birth date. Were the family Presbyterians? There are some Presbyterian marriage records in Mercersburg and Greencastle that might be of help. [Note: Where did your Elizabeth live? Could only find one in the 1850 census of Franklin. She is in Mercersburg, but her age is given as 22. ----- Original Message ----- From: "gordon crooks" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Cc: <[email protected]>; <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, October 18, 2006 12:56 PM Subject: Re: [PAFRANKL] Campbell, Beatty & Johnston > Carolyn: This is very interesting.
