Joe: I have a huge problem with this. I quote from my bible as written by Robert Crooks himself and also by his son Joseph Crooks. 1. Martha (Beatty) Crooks 2nd wife was born Oct. 14, a.d. 1796, 2. Martha Crooks second wife died on Thursday, a.m. April the 21st, a.d. 1843, aged 46 years, 6 months & 7 days. Buried at Greencastle, Franklin Co., Pa. (it is believed that she was buried at the Associate Reformed Church graveyard on Baltimore St. instead of the family plot at Moss Spring - this makes sense as Robert was a member of the Gree4ncastle Synod in 1811 and is so listed) 3. The bible again Robert listed all 12 of his children in the bible and No. 12 is: Elizabeth Campell Crooks was born June 27, a.d. 1833. Robert himself outlasted both wives ) and many of his children he died March 9, a.d. 1850 aged 77 years and six months, he is buried at Moss Spring. So the question still remains what wasw the maiden name of Elizabeth Campell Crooks mother?
