The Honorourable William MaClay was the first U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania. He lived in Fannettsburg, Franklin Co. Perhaps there is a link. If so, let me know please. His daughter, Catherine Irwin MaClay (1799-1873) was married to Dr. John Peebles Geddes on 27 Apr 1825 in the Lower Path Valley Presbyterian Church in Franklin County by the Rev. A. A. McGinley.
