John : The Green Hill Cemetary was opened in 1874 as a Public Cemetery , The Office is located about 50 yards from the corner of South Potomac Street and Cemetary Avenue on Potomac Street , Several tombstones have been discovered lately , I believe many are prior to 1874 making Me believe it was a Family Cemetery before being opened as a Public Cemetery , I have records of pretty much of all franklin county cemeteries on CD. Note that 2 of My ancestors are burried at Green Hill Cemetery they were twin infants John S. & Annie S. born & died 1861 thats 13 years prior to Green Hill Cemetery opening ! I lived less then a mile away from Green Hill Cemetery for the first 39 years of My 43 years of My life , I know the Waynesboro area ! good luck if "You get a chance to look through thier records as they are kept in a safe" Thier Address is: 953 South Potomac Street , Waynesboro,PA. Thier Phone Number is : (717)762-2759 Note it is "Green Hill Cemetery" NOT "Greenhill Cemetery" Glenn E.
