Hi All Glenn says the CD he has is great, Well thanks a bunch, Because it is the culmination of 10 years of typing 150 of Franklin Countys' 460 cemeteries. I put it on 3 computers, The Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library,Waynesboro; Coyle Library, Chambersburg and The Waynesboro Historical Society, Waynesboro. I did not know that by doing that, it made it public domain. I copied it from notebooks that are in The Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library, put there by Dean Calimer who over the past 35 years has put together these listings, along with Sam & Hilda Meisner, and about half a dozen others who tramped through all these cemeteries and copied tombstones, and looked through obituaries for hours and hours. Also funeral home listings are in there. So I hope you all enjoy it, as much as I do. The Library CD is OK! It is done by so many it has duplicate information , Under WOLFF it shows: Arie Florence Wolff b 1871 d. 1956 married George B. Wolff Florence Arie Wolff b. 6/4/1871 d. 11/13/1956 married George B. Wolff b. same year died same year married same George B. Wolff burried same grave ! It should show : Arie Florence SHIPP b. 04 Jun. 1871 d. 13 Nov. 1956 married George B. WOLFF The "CD You put in the Library ? Well ? I found NO Documentation whatsoever ! If A Genealogist finds information they document it: Johnathan Q. PUBLIC b. 05 Dec. 1701 d. 15 Feb. 1787 {found all information in Family Bible c date 1659 and confirmed by copies of Birth Certificate and Death Certificates} , Attached. Dates are: 02 June 1847 NOT 06/02/04 That can be taken as: June 02,1704 , 1804 , 1904 , 2004 Or As: 06 February 1704 , 1804 , 1904 , 2004 and even by some: the Year of our lord in 1706 , 1806 ,1906 , 2006 on the 02nd of April. That's why I refer to most as "Hobbiest" or "Family Distortians" Because they believe: Tom JONES married Tina FOSTER and have Katie JONES "RELATED" WRONG ! Katie UNKNOWN is Adopted ! Probally Foreign ! NOT in the gene pool! or Tina FOSTER got "Banged" previously of marriage or perhaps While Tom JONES was in WWI , WWII , Viet Nam , Korea or Iraq ! Genealogist like to DOCUMENT ! Certificates # 2 Everything else #3 to 100 , Being There is always #1 I've seen work done by some : John Smith Married Elizabeth Brown , Well How many Damn John SMITH's and Elizabeth BROWN's have thier been ? Thats's the difference between Genealogist's and as You say "Cemetery Tramppers" This CD contains much more : Cencus record's from 1800 through 1920 , An Age Calculator , Area Histories :Blue Ridge Summit,Chambersburg,Fayetteville,Greencastle,Waynesboro,Ect.Ect.Ect., 1751 Tax List of Franklin County,Franklin County Marriages,Many Church Records,Ship list's , Although I guess now that , You mention it I think once information is put on a Public Computer for all to use so all the information on a Public Computer would indeed be Public Domain!
