I am seeking to find further information on George GIPE, b. abt. 1809 in PA and his wife Elizabeth BANRCORD. Little is known about George GIPE. His census records are: 1850 - Montgomery Twp, Franklin County, PA 1860 - Not found 1870 and 1880 - Buda, Concord Twp, Bureau County, IL. He is also listed in the Franklin County 1843 tax list. No death record found. It is suspected to be sometime between 1880 and 1892. No burial records found. I would like to know who his parents are and have found no leads. The David GIPE family of Franklin County does not have a child that matches. Elizabeth BARNCORD is believed to be born about 1823 in PA. Strong evidence exists to suggest she was the daughter of Jacob BARNCORD and wife Catherine, of Franklin County, PA. She can be found in the same above census records with her husband, George GIPE. She bought property in her name in 1861 in Buda, Bureau County, IL and sold it in 1892 as a widow. She has not been found in the 1900 census, nor have any death or burial records been found for her. It is believed that two of George and Elizabeth (Barncord) GIPE's children are buried in Franklin County in the Hawbecker Cemetery. These include a son named George and a daughter named Elizabeth. Elizabeth's age matches exactly that of the daughter Elizabeth found in the home of George and Elizabeth (Barncord) GIPE in 1850. I have done extensive research on these folks and am at a dead end.
