Thank You SOOOooooooo Much Glenn, One of my Mercersburg Beck cousins , donated DNA to the Beck surname at Heritage , and I posted the results on several DNA databases , I got a 98% match on an Aquilla Beck born 1753 , Kent County , MD . Moved his Family to Rowan , NC about 1786 , where he died before 1840 . It was through one of his descendants of his son Samuel Beck ( Wayne Co., IN ) that matched my cousin by an almost identical match , meaning that they shared a common Ancestor within 3 Generations . I am trying to find out who the parents for Aquilla / Aquila ( Agnello on the NC census ) are ? and how / why , did my Ancestors go to Franklin Co., PA , when the rest of this family line seems to be everywhere but PA ? Also I am trying to find out where my GrGrGrGrandfather Jacob Beck is buried , and did he die in Franklin Co., or did he die in Miami , OH as the Burns Family info has , that he died 1848 in Miami , OH , then why are his wife and kids in Franklin Co., PA in 1850 , and it appears they were always there and never left ? Jacob Beck born 1801-1805 , wife Elizabeth ( I was told by the Burns Family that she was Mary Elizabeth Burns born 1804 ) But I have found most of their history on her to be wrong , as they have her as the daughter of Daniel Burns born Franklin Co., PA moved to Miami , OH about 1830 , from census records , she could have been his Sister , but not his daughter . Again Thank You Glen , Kathy --------------------------------- All-new Yahoo! Mail - Fire up a more powerful email and get things done faster.
Regarding Jacob Beck dying in Ohio 1848 - is it possible that he was heading to CA with the Gold Rush. Many men headed west by all means of transportation available, thinking they would get their share of gold and come home to their families in a year or two. Maybe he died on the road?
