I haven't heard of Burns Memorial Cemetery, unless it's another name for Burns Hill. If you're looking for Burns Hill Cemetery, the mailing address is 117 Locust St., Waynesboro, PA 17268. Phone number is 717-762-5443. I went tramping around it a few weeks ago when I was visiting my parents. :) If anyone is searching for Waynesboro folks who were practicing Catholics, there's also St. Andrew's Catholic Cemetery. Not sure how old it is. BTW, greetings to the list! This is my first post. Although I've lived in the suburbs of Washington, DC for the past 20 years, I was born and raised in Waynesboro, and my parents, sister and nieces are still there. Most of my lines have been rooted in Franklin County for some time. Greetings, all! I've run into some brick walls with my Grandma Walter's (nee: Mary Elizabeth Mosser) families, Mosser and Sharar. I know that both families lived in Mercersburg for awhile; Grandma was born there, and I've found her family there on a Census or two. I'd like to tramp around some Mercersburg-area cemeteries at some point this fall, looking for clues. However, it's probably been a good 20-25 years since I've been to Mercersburg, and I'm not sure where any cemeteries are located. I haven't been able to find any listings online, and a recent search of the Waynesboro telephone directory wasn't helpful. Is there anyone on the list from Mercersburg--or with information on Mercersburg--who can point me in the right direction? Thanks! Wilma ("Willie") Walter Searching for WALTER, MOSSER, HENICLE, SHARAR, CREAGER, BAKER, BECKNER, GATES, GEORGE, KNEPPER, MONN and more...
