    3. Hi Susan , My Ancestor was (Mary) Elizabeth Burns , born 1805 in Franklin Co., PA . I can tell you what I know to be true from info I received from the Burns Family . Elizabeth had a niece named Anna who married John A Reiber ( Reiver on census for 1850 Ohio ) Her Father was Daniel Burns who was born in Franklin Co., PA and migrated to Ohio late 1820s ( that makes Daniel one of Elizabeths' Brothers ) . Anna and John Reiber raised 2 of my GrGrGrandfathers sisters , while her Father Daniel raised his youngest brother . Living near Elizabeth in 1850 Mercersburg / Montgomery , is a Henry Burns , I believe this is also a brother , and there is mention of her having a brother William . Elizabeth married Jacob Beck they were said to both be young when they were married , first son was named George and second son was named William ( they had 13 kids ) Now for what research I have not confirmed , there was an Alexander Burns living in Franklin Co., PA 1810 with a daughter in that right age group for Elizabeth . Alexander would have been 16 or older to be named on the census , this doesn't mean he was her Father or the head of the Household ? I can't trace Alexander I have tried . My Computer was down recently and I lost the Burns Family File , but I can email my family in Mercersburg and ask them to resend it to me , I live in Phila., but my Family has been in Franklin for over 200 yrs .
