I am looking for the name of the owner of the farm at the intersection of Harbaugh Church Road and the Rouzerville - Ringgold road. The large two story house and large barns faces Harbaugh Church Road about 300 feet east of PA Rt 2007 or MD Rt 418. In the corn field across from this house is the 96 mile marker of the Mason-Dixon survey. The diary of Charles Mason in his recording of the Mason-Dixon survey lists Staphel Shockey's house as located 7 chains north of this which would place it behind the house described above. Staphel was the nickname for my 5th great grandfather, John Christopher Shockey, who owned the 3rd Resurvey of Sarah's Delight in the 1750s and 1760s. Some of the descendants of his son Jacob still live on a portion of the 1820 acres but do not know who owns the farm in question.
