Craig, I checked Ancestry.com and only found this one census entry using any variation of the surname: 1790 census - Manheim, Lancaster Co., PA: Ludwig Sweiger - 1 free white male age 16+; 3 free white males under age 16; 2 free white females. No reference to Revolutionary War service.
