I am researching the descendants of John A. Jones, Sr. who was born in England in 1729, fought in the Revolutionary War and was given 100 acres of land in Franklin Co for his service. He settled in the Metal/Fort Loudon area. When he died in 1840 at the ripe old age of 110 years old, he had 10 children living, and an estimated 100 grandchildren and great grandchildren. John A.
