Didn't see an answer to Gary's question about Lutheran Church records, but the church records for Salem Church (aka Shearer's church) have been transcibed. There are copies at Kittochtinny Historical Society and at the DAR library in Washington DC that I know of - I understand that they are also available from LDS on microfilm. Be sure to order the transcibed copy unless you read German. About the map - I found a copy at a Chambersburg gas station - paid $1.95, then the tourist bureau sent another one. Their address is - Cumberland Valley Visitors Center 1235 Lincoln Way East Chambersburg, PA 17201 The map shows about every road in the county, plus the townships.
