Hi List, Does anyone have information on the history of the Letterkenny Depot? I am interested in when the government established it, how the land was acquired etc. My ancestors; ggg grandafther Jacob Hauck and wife Elizabeth were farmers in the area of Pleasant Hall, and I'm curious as to whether family land may have been part of the depot holdings, and whether any old cemeteries are there. Jacob died in 1813, and I have been having trouble finding his burial site and Elizabeth's. My gg grandfather John S. Hawk appears in Newburg, Cumb. Co. in the 1840 census. Don't know where he was before then, or the site of his burial either. -- Bill Hawk
