Bill: The Letterkenny Army Depot was established in 1941. It encompasses five churches, five church cemeteries and three private cemeteries. Twenty thousand acres was purchased by the U.S. government, and about 1,000 residents were forced to relocate. Source:(Upper) Strasburg and Vicinity, bicentennial booklet.
