Need proof of a marriage, maybe from the German Reformed Church. Elizabeth BUCHANAN mar. William YATES. Elizabeth was born 1797 Franklin Co, PA. William was born 1807. Their first child was born 1828 Franklin Co, PA. Two of William's brothers had children shown in the German Reformed Church, which, I am told, was west of Chambersburg and is not the United Church of Christ. I don't know if Elizabeth was married in the same church or not. To prove that Elizabeth was a pioneer for my county, I must prove that she was married. Does anyone know where I could find this information? If it helps any, her parents were said to have been John BUCHANAN and Polly POTTS. The first son that was born in 1828 was Samuel Butler Yates, named after an uncle. Suzy
