    3. Bill - I checked "Biographical Annals of Franklin County" - two GROVE families but no connections found. No GRIPE listed In M'Cauley's "Historical Sketch of Franklin County", 1878, p 190, there is a Joseph GIPE who is listed as a "Tunker" Bishop in Guilford Twp - this is as close as I could come to the spelling. In this list of ministers of the county there the only denomination with 'Baptist' is 'Seventh Day Baptist.' If you are looking for the correct transcription for the age of Rebecca why not order the census record yourself? You can get them at most research libraries on interlibrary loan or order them from Salt Lake at your local Family History Center. You already have the township and page number so all you need is to order the correct roll of microfilm and look at a picture of the original. There is a "Shearer's Church" at Pleasant Hall - I think the other name is Salem Reformed or E.U.B. The records have been filmed by LDS and are available from Salt Lake. The population of the town in 1900 was only 63, so it may have been the only church in the town. Rocky Spring Church is in Letterkenny Twp, but it was Presbyterian. Kittochtinny has the burials in the graveyard of both churchs. I do not know of any local histories of the area. Carolyn Shearer -----Original Message----- From: William S.
