    3. There is a will for an Alexander Thompson in Franklin County that closely fits your couple. Will Book B, p 92. Alexander THOMPSON of Greene Twp, w/w Jan 6, 1800, w/p Mar 5,1800. Wife Elizabeth. Children: John, William, Agnes COLHOUN, Alexander, Archibald, Elizabeth PURVIANCE, Margaret WATSON, Barbara WATSON, Mary COWAN, Jannet SHAW, James, Jane SHIELDS. Exec: Son John. Wit: George McIlroy, Samuel McIlroy. There are lots of Greers and McClellands in the will book.
