Wednesday, Jan 13th, 1796 The fine of 10 pounds imposed upon George Haberland for keeping a Tippling House in the County of Franklin, was this day remitted by the Governor in compliance with respectable recommendation. Friday, Jan 15th, 1796 The fine of 10 pounds imposed upon John Nigh for keeping a Tippling House in the County of Franklin, was this day remitted by the Governor in compliance with a respectable recommendation. Monday Feb 1st, 1796 The fine of 10 pounds which was imposed upon Stophel Zentmeyer by the Court of General Quarter Sessions of the Peace of the County of Franklin for keeping a Tippling House, was this day remitted by the Governor. Monday, April 11th, 1796 The Surveyor General's appointment of Daniel Henderson to be a Deputy Surveyor of Franklin County and part of Cumberland County was this day approved by the Governor. Friday, Oct 21st 1796 A Return of the General Election of Sheriffs and Coroners in and for the County of Franklin was presented to the Governor; whereupon George Hetick was appointed Sheriff, and Archibald Rankin, Coroner of the said County of Franklin.
