Hi, I am researching my Lowry ancestors: my great, great, grandfather is Benjamin H. Lowry. His death certificate (from Washington Co., MD) lists his birthplace as Franklin County, PA on August 2, 1830. His father is listed as George Lowry and mother is unknown. Benjamin's obituary (February 8, 1911) lists surviving brothers: Charles of Sharpsburg pike and Peter of Locust Grove. I'd appreciate hearing from anyone else interested in the Lowrys of Franklin and Washington Counties. In addition, any advice on where I might look for Benjamin's birth records would be appreciated. Benjamin and his family attended and are buried in the graveyard of the Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, so I'd assume Lutheran records would be my best source.
