I am probably repeating myself, but I am at a loss at finding information in Franklin County on my Mowrey & Cromer relation from Franklin County. John Mowrey, b. 4/3/1814, Peters Township - son of ?Daniel Mowrey, b. 5/1788-d. 1857, Chambersburg? Wife: Mary Cromer, m. 3/10/1836 - Mercersburg Siblings: Jacob William Joseph Daniel ? Mary Cromer, b. 5/21/1816 - daughter of George & AnaMaria (Rummel) Cromer Siblings: Josiah Elizabeth Margaret George John Besore Jacob Frederick Jeremiah Besore Andrew Jackson Hannah Esther Both families lived in Franklin County, probably about 1810-1840, after which they moved first to Washington County, MD, then part of the boys moved to Indiana. The spelling of Mowrey may have been Mowery or Mowry or even Maurer at that time. According to one source, George Cromer lived in the 'Jordan' Farm south of Mercersburg and the Mowreys lived on the McDowell or McDonel farm between Bridgeport & Campbell Town at least in 1814.
