Does anyone know where I could obtain church records for the period 1800-1850 in the Franklin County area? Probably be in the Mercersburg, St. Thomas, Chambersburg areas. Also, does anyone know of the Jordan farm located outside of Mercersburg? It shows on an old map of the area. The George Cromer family lived there during this period. Supposedly in the late 1800's someone pulled the wallpaper off one of the upstairs bedrooms and found a long list of Cromer names. Would love to find more info on this list of names. I am also looking for the Thomas McDonel or McDowel farm between St. Thomas & Markes. Someone said there is an elderly lady still living there at Geib' s Point Road. My Mowreys supposedly lived there during this period. Thank you for your help. Marilyn Indiana
