Do know if the 1900 is online for Franklin County, but the 1860 and 1870 manufacturing and agricultural census, as well as the regular census for the county are online on Valley of the Shadow. http://valley.lib.virginia.edu/ One tip in using this site - some of the transcriptions are not the best and the names are often misspelled, so be generous in your use of 'wild cards' You can also search by given names. This is still done today in many states (Pennsylvania being one). There is line on the regular census form (1900 and after) that asks for the number of farm schedule. I'd like to find the individual schedule if it's avaliable for those of my ancestors indicate they had one. Apparently from what I've been able to find out it gives a better glimps into there daily farm life. Majority of those that were farming during this time were in Franklin County. Thanx!
