    1. [PAFRANKL] Re: early church records -- PAFRANKL-D Digest V00 #226
    2. Carolyn et al, Would the following post also refer to christening and marriage records for Rocky Springs Presbyterian Church, Franklin Co.? Are these records available from the Kittochtinny Historical Society? Time frame, 1780--1820? Thanks for any help or insight. The only other Presbyterian Church in Path Valley was (and still is) at Spring Run. The church and county histories are rather vague on the issue, but apparently there was some early problems between the two churchs. I have noticed that families who belonged to one rarely show up in the records of the other. Outside of Path Valley, there is a Presbyterian Church of the Falling Spring in Chambersburg, Rocky Spring northwest of Chambersburg, plus a couple of others. Records for all of these churchs are very scarce. Lower Path Valley, except for the marriages which are incomplete, start at 1851. Even then there are no baptisms. Kittochtinny has a few records for Falling Spring. In Cumberland County, there are a few records for Middle Spring and Big Spring, neither of which are complete. Gail - I have added to my Campbell text file since we last talked. Will send you an updated version if you like. Carolyn >>
