Joan, I am amazed to finally find somebody with a Patton connection! I happen to have a copy of the Bible records of JOHN WHITE (s/o CAPTAIN JOHN WHITE) who m. MARGARET PATTON d/o JAMES PATTON. I also have a Bio on CAPTAIN JOHN WHITE (s/o ANDREW & JEAN WHITE) who d. in the Ligonier Pa. area. In the Bio it mentions that his son John m. MARGARET PATTON & his sons travelled to HANNASTOWN to administer to their fathers lands there. I believe that this is the John White who eventually travelled to INDIANA CO. PA. with my JAMES SIMPSON & James was m. to his sister HANNAH WHITE. John was mentioned in an Indian attack there. Also mentioned at HANNASTOWN were my James Simpson saving a child from the fire & "the White Brothers" running their horses all night so the Indians would think that there were reinforcements arriving.
