I am trying to put together my ZACHARIAS line in Chambersburg, PA. I am following Major Willman Owen ZACHARIAS, who died in Fayetteville, PA in May 1970. I lived in Chambersburg with his wife Virginia (Mayer). Willman was one of at least seven children. Is there a kind soul who might be able to look up his obituary for me? I have tried for several months to find a volunteer for the area, but to no avail. I'd like to determine why he was listed as "Major" and can't find any war records on him. Perhaps his obit would have some clues. I have further information on his family if anyone else is following this ZACHARIAS line. Peg (in Boston)
