Rankin (1816-1885) the eldest son of A. Rankin Esquire of Greencastle, PA was the first Probate Court Judge (1850) of Franklin County, Ohio. The present Probate Court Judges would like to honor him by placing a likeness/photo of him on the wall of the courthouse vestibule with ALL of the other judges that have ever served Franklin County.
