    1. [PAFRANKL] Fwd: Looking for Davids Mother
    2. --part1_9d.6d6bdc0.267b9332_boundary Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit I am posting this Query to the list again in hopes that Someone will help me do any kind of lookup. I thank the 2 kind souls that sent me good wishes to find David's Mother Grace, but no one else has offered. Is anyone willing to help? I am in California and am not able to go to PA. Thanks Stacy --part1_9d.6d6bdc0.267b9332_boundary Content-Type: message/rfc822 Content-Disposition: inline Return-path: <Blumoo8133@aol.com> From: Blumoo8133@aol.com Full-name: Blumoo8133 Message-ID: <fb.6aab5f3.266d737f@aol.com> Date: Mon, 5 Jun 2000 17:19:59 EDT Subject: Looking for Davids Mother To: PAFRANKL-L@rootsweb.com. MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Mailer: AOL 4.0 for Windows 95 sub 102 Hi group, I need a helping hand on this one. Looking for a Grace PATTERSON (surname) born 1892-93, we think in Rouzerville. In 1910 she had a son David E. PATTERSON, born 12-22-1910. His birth Cert says place of birth Franklin County, Township Washington, Borough, Rouzerville. The father is listed as C. PROVARD, (I have his Info) On April 22, 1914, David was taken to the Orphanage, I believe he was 4. The person who brought him to the Orphanage was the Director of the Poor Through Margaret R. Amberson. David later was taken to a farm at the age of 11-12 and he worked on the Farm of Harry Osbaugh. David was indentured in 1921. (free to go) What happened to Grace PATTERSON? Who were her parents? Did she ever marry? We need closure for David he will be 90 years old this year, I am frantically looking for info to complete his family tree. His birthday is coming up soon we are having a family reunion in July (early Birthday) and this would be the best gift anyone could give another. He seems to think that Grace was put into the poor house due to a break down, this is unconfirmed, but all possibilities are on the table at this point. I can be reached at Blumoo8133@aol.com please email me if you or someone you know can do a look up for me. Oh and what is the year the Death certificates were documented? Maybe I can find Grace PATTERSONs Death Certificate. Thank you all for reading this long post. Wish me good thoughts. David is grateful to all who are willing to help. 1. [PAFRANKL] Martin - Lemons
    2. I am searching for information on the families of Jacob and Rebecca Lemons Martin. This Martin family is in the Franklin County 1850 census living in St. Thomas Township. Jacob was born about 1808 and states he is from Maryland and lists his occupation as wagonmaker. Rebecca was born about 1811 and is from Pennsylvania. Their children are listed as Amanda, Samuel, Ephraim, Rebecca, James, Daniel, and twins Charlotte and Henry. After the birth of the twins, the Martins moved to Henry County, Indiana, and are found in the 1860 Census in Prairie Township living in Hillsboro. Ann, John and Lloyd have been added to the family, but daughter Rebecca is missing. The death certificate of Lloyd Martin states that his mother was Rebecca Lemons of Pennsylvania. Jacob and Rebecca are my third great grandparents. I will be glad to share all information I have on this family. Thanks, Jane

    1. [PAFRANKL] Lopp Information
    2. Jeff McDonald
    3. Hi... This past Thursday I took a trip up to PA to the Kittochtinny Historical Society in Chambersburg, Franklin Co., PA to research David Lopp (my GG-Grandfather) and Catharine Cell Lopp (my GG Grandmother). Thanks to the work of many people, I was able to locate Catharine's grave site. Unfortunately, David seems to have disappeared after her death. Buried along with Catharine are two of their young children, and a man by the name of Solomon Cell (probably her uncle.) I noted in the 1880 census for Franklin Co. there were several of the other Lopp children (Aaron, Calvin, Emma, George and William). I noted that William (my G-grandfather who later moved to Illinois) was 19 years old and working for Jacob (age 49) and Solomon Cell (age 48) on a farm. My question is -- what happened to Catharine's Husband, David Lopp after her death (Feb 1878). There was very little information on the other Lopps despite the fact that the majority were born in the Franklin Co. PA area. I would greatly appreciate any help that anyone can provide. Many Thanks in advance. Elaine McDonald

    1. [PAFRANKL] CAN YOU HELP ME?
    2. Can any one help? I recently petitioned for help from every county of PA and have found many helpful people. I need some more help now that I know where to look. I am looking for any information from county census or colonial census prior to 1788. I know there was no federal census until 1790 but have been informed there are county and colonial census. My 5 great grandfather JOHN JACOB KOPF was born in Lancaster Co., PA December 1766. His parents are CONRAD KOPF and MARIA MAGDALENE ?? KOPF. My 5 great grandfather has gone by the name Jacob with several spellings of the last name which include: Kopf, Kop, Kopp, Copp, Cop, Cup, Cupp, etc. Jacob was baptized at Cocalico Reformed Church, Ephrata, Lancaster Co., PA, a Lutheran (German) Church. I need look up in tax record, church records of like faith in your area, newspaper information, marriage look ups or just any kind of information I can get. I have been told Jacob may have had a brother or uncle called Abraham (Aham) or one called Volentine. CONRAD is said to have been in Chester Co., PA in 1756. I am also helping to try and connection three separate lines of Cupp therefore I would appreciate any or all Cupp information. Of special interest are information on Jacob or Conrad, siblings, parents, etc. Thanks you so very much for your help. I have been told there were Cupp's in all the counties I am sending this to. 2. John, For some reason your name looks familiar to me. I am not sure if I have corresponded with you in the past, and if so, please excuse the repetition. This couple's 7th and last known child, my Gr-Grf, Robert THOMSON (1815--1883) was born in Allegheny Co., PA. James married a second time to a Margaret PEEBLES sometime abt. 1823, as this couple had a son, William Peebles THOMSON, b. 1824, Allegheny Co., PA. From this data I am *assuming* that Nancy WRIGHT died ca. 1815--1823. No place of burial known for her. I also have information from the "Cumberland County Will Abstracts", by Edward Wright (do not know if this person is related), of a James WRIGHT, Peters Twp. I am interested in any evidence of when Samuel Neely came to America. (The years just prior to 1800 seem to be short of information on arriving ships.) I will be happy to share what information I have. My web page below has much of what I have researched. I have not been actively engaged in my genealogy for the past year or so but I do monitor the Neely list and I will answer emails within a day or two. -- John Middleton, Leawood, Kansas Middleton, SCT>Liverpool, Eng>Chicago, IL, 1800-1920; Neely, IRL>PA, 1759-1900; Chid(d)ester, WV>OH, 1800-1900; Som(m)erville, Grasmere, Eng, 1700-1850 Web Page: http://www.planetkc.com/jmcpa >>
