    3. What is Orphans Court? What dates are recorded in it? I am looking for William James Heffelfinger, born about 1848, and probably orphaned by 1850. Are the records from "Orphans' Court" published in book form? Or where can they be found? Thanks. 3. Hi Duane, I was "cleaning" my old emails, and came across yours. Have you tried researching your Shufflebargers through the Barger Family History website? You can find it through Rootsweb; I stumbled onto it via Yahoo. The website also has many links and a mailing list. There seems to be a lot of Shufflebargers among the Bargers. (Barger is my maiden name.) Good luck, and I hope this helps you. 1. [PAFRANKL] SHORT - DUNBAR - GRAY - SHAFFER
    2. Donna Heller Zinn
    3. Hello Fellow Listers: I am attempting to find any information or verification that a William SHORT (b.ca.1770) married Elizabeth DUNBAR. William and Elizabeth DUNBAR SHORT presumably resided in/around the area of Concord and Fannett Twp., Franklin Co., PA., and Lack, Juniata Co., PA.. They had at least one son, William SHORT (b.30-Oct-1798 d.14-Apr-1884) who married on 10-Oct-1822 at Waterloo, Lack Twp., Juniata Co., PA. to Catharine GRAY (b.20-Mar-1801 d.28-Jul-1892 d/o James and Rebecca SHAFFER GRAY). There have been conflicting stories passed down through the family about the elder William SHORT. Some have said that his son came alone from Ireland at the age of 7 years while others say that the elder William came here and settled. I am attempting to help a fellow by the name of Sam JONES trace his very elusive ancestry, as he does not have internet access. All information presented above was supplied to me by him and I have not verified it yet. Any hints or help greatly appreciated!!! Donna HELLER ZINN of Newville, Cumberland Co., PA.
