Does anyone know about descendents of William THOMPSON (1752-1813). He served in Revolution and married Elizabeth MITCHELL according to Ohio Valley Genealogies, he was of Scotch-Irish descent, a native of Franklin County, PA who moved to Westmoreland County, PA about 1780. He had a son Samuel. I'm searching for the parents of my Elizabeth "Betsy" (MITCHEL) WHITE. Her first child was born in 1801 and there are several descendents with the first or middle name of "Thompson" that I can't connect with any other ancestor's surnames. Other possibilities on naming patterns for descendents suggest her ancestry might have first names of HUGH....because I don't find any on the WHITE side.
