Kevin, I hope you don't mind me piggybacking onto your post, but it's so timely. I'd just decided to send a message to the list in hopes of finding some information about the woman who may be one of my great-great grandmothers. I'm looking for any information about Mary Ann CAMPBELL, 1814-1892. She was married to Jacob G. WALTER, 1803-1877. Both are buried at Fairfield Union cemetery. I haven't had a chance to search for supporting evidence yet, but I suspect they are the parents of my great-grandfather John Adam WALTER (known as "Adam"). I know nothing else about Mary Ann. Didn't even know her last name until my recent session with the cemetery database in the PA Room at Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library. Thanks! Peace, Willie

Hello All, I have added another 20 pages to the Chambersburg book that I began posting last week. If you are interested in reading it then you can find it at http://www.midatlanticarchives.com I also added another old postcard (I found a lot of these in a box in my parents' attic). This one is c1930 of Lauck's Hall Academy in Mercersburg. It is also on my site under "Recently Added Photos". Alan -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. Yes I am sure we are talking about the same place...when I did my research I was advised that it was Fannett....If it is metal I stand corrected....some of the lines of the township are very close and hard to always determine which township, what is located in.... -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Sent: Sun, 15 Oct 2006 7:16 PM Subject: Re: [PAFRANKL] Parker Family Cemetery My map (and my husband's memory) shows that Stony Point Rd is in Metal Twp, not Fannett. If you mean Antrim township, yes. There are some graves behind the AME church in Greencastle and others in the clear back of the town cemetery in Greencastle (left side of 16). Also, in Mercersburg on Fayette Street there are graves of black civil war veterans. I have pictures of some of the ones in the old part of Greencastle's cemetery. The records for Parker Family Farm Cemetery are in Volume 8: of the Cemetery records at Kittochtinny Historical Society. It is located on a piece of property known as "GERMANY at the southern end of Fannett Township. That land was recently owned by Mr. Franics McLaughlin of Philadelphia. It is about 1,000 yards west of Townshp route Number T564 (Stony Point Road. A stream locally referred to as SLATE HILL CREEK is about 110 feet south of the cemetery plot. No longer in use...11 graves there marked with field stones. Keli: There is no list of the burials in the CEMETERY LOCATOR or it's APPENDIX. The actual records are in the 30 volumes at Kittochtinny Historical to which I have created an idex. The Locator and the Apendix are for sale as is the Index. If you want more information you can contact me about them.
