HELP! If anyone can help me, please! I keep coming up with nothing on my great grandfather John B. Stevenson, Sr. or my Grandmother's family Minnie Laura Hoyt. If anyone can give me any information or if any of these names sound familiar I would appreciate anything. Below is what I know so far. Faternal: My grandfather John B. Stevenson Jr. was married to Minnie Laura Hoyt. They lived in Sheffield and North Warren, PA. I have no information on my grandmother. Their children were Doris Lorene b. 7/31/1906, John Kenneth b. 10/15/1912 and my father, Robert Louis Stevenson b. 10/15/1922. My father Robert L. is the only living descendent born before my generation that I know of. My great-grandfather was John B. Stevenson, Sr. (middle name Baby?) (born ? - died 12/24/1914 Clarendon, Warren County). He married Arabelle Swartzwelder (born 5/30/1860 - died 5/2/1918) in Duke Center, McKean County 4/16/1880. Their children were Barbara May b. 1/26/1881, John B. Jr. b. 3/4/1885 (my grandfather), and Lorene Florence b. 5/28/1891. I have no further information on John B. Sr., as he told the story of running away from home at 15 to join the union troops in the Civil War (PA company E 8/23/1863 -6/2/1865). (I had requested his pension records from the national archives but they came up blank also.) He refused to talk about his family, which we believe came from the Titusville or Oil City area. The dates he served in the union puts his birth year somewhere around 1848. I believe he was buried in a Veteran's Cemetery in Warren County, then his grave was moved when Arabelle died to be next to hers. Arabelle's parents were John A. Swartzwelder (b. 6/2/1830 - d. 12/10/1870 Sandy Creek, PA) and Jemima Winans Titus (b. 10/4/1826 - d. 12/8/1899 N. Clarendon, Warren Co.). They were married 9/6/1853 at Goheenville,PA. Their children were Harriet Jane b. 6/13/1854, Barbara Anne b. 9/10/1855, Edward Everett b. 7/29/1858 and Arabelle b. 5/30/1860. I have no more information on Jemima, is she a Titus from Titusville? John A. Swartzwelder's parents were Joseph Swartzwelder (b. 1809 - d. ? ) and Barbara Amsbaugh (b. 10/20/1805 - d. 4/20/1880). Their children were Isaac, Mary Jane, William, Thomas W., John A., Elizabeth K., Miles L., Benjamin, Anna Clarinda, Laura and Nancy Margaret. Other names that come up are: Harriet Jane Swartzwelder married James Fagan 7/16/1879 at Duke Center by Father Coonan. Children John Thomas Fagan b. 5/3/1880 Duke Center, William Benjamin Fagan b. 6/16/1882 Little Gennesse NY, James Arthur b. 2/5/1884 Altoona, Pa, Richard Chrysoston b. 2/18/1886 Tiona, Pa, Margaret Jane b. 12/15/1887 Tiona, Pa, Florence Gertrude b. 11/14/1890 N. Clarendon. Barbara Anne Swartzwelder married Charles Goehring Arlington 6/29/1881 at Eldred, PA Edward Everett Swartzwelder married Nellie Kane 9/10/1883.
