Hi, I heard the same story from my brother. Years ago he worked on the roads around Busti area (Chautauqua Co.). He told me an elderly man named Rudy had told him the story. And pointed out to him where the cemetery use to be. I'm looking for the grave of Laban Pero and wife Polly. I know Laban died in Busti Feb. 1870. He willed his farm in Busti to his children Emery & William Pero and daughter Sarah Ann Killins. I've not yet found where the property was located. Or what became of Sarah or Emery.
