    3. More on Sugar Grove Browns. Truman Job Tobey lived on Brown Hill from the late 1890s to the late 1940s. The house, according to my husband, was called the Black house (probably the family that built the house). The next house toward Youngsville on Brown Hill was referred to as the Brown house, even though when my husband can remember the Browns no longer lived there. He visited his grandfather Truman Job in the late 1920s through around 1940. I think Truman Job died about 1949. So if someone has access to the recorder's office they should be able to go back in deed records and find out which Brown lived next to the Black/Tobey house. After Truman Job died his daughter and husband whose name was Sullivan lived in the house. Now that I have you thoroughly confused, Happy Thanksgiving to all!
