I would like to hear from anyone with knowledge of an Atkins line from Lincolnshire, England. William G. (George?) Atkins, b. 4 Sept.1827, Caistor, Lincolnshire, England, d. 14 April 1911, Tidioute, Warren, PA, m. 14 Feb. 1854 Sarah Simpson, widow of Charles Simpson. William was s/o Thomas and Sarah Clayton Atkins of Lincolnshire. William and a brother, Thomas, emigrated to the U.S. in 1852. Thomas moved on to MI and I know little more about him. Another Atkins researcher has a Thomas Atkins , b. 2 Dec. 1748, Lincolnshire, and wife Susanna Sanderson. They emigrated, with son John, to NY in1798, and eventually moved on to OH. We think there might be some connection in our two lines but have no further information to link them together. I would appreciate any information anyone might offer.
