John Christopher JOHNS, aged 80, well-known resident of Uppermiddletown, died Tuesday night, September 21, 1937, at his home following a lengthy illness. Surviving are the widow, Ernestine Johns, and the following children: Carl, of Messmore; Emma Adams, Pittsburgh; Edward, at home; Martha Adams, Larimer; Helena, at home; Henry Messmore, and Robert, of Hopwood. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon with a short service at the home at 10 o'clock followed with additional rites in the St. Jacob's Lutheran Church near Leckrone. rev. Herman H. Will and Rev. Sholtz will be in charge of the services. Burial will be in the St. Jacob's Church Cemetery. Not related to me. Just sharing a resource. Carole Clarke
