Marilyn Yvonne Gomrick, 71, of Leland, N.C., died Monday, Jan. 26, 2004, at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center, North Carolina. Surviving are her husband of 37 years, Richard C. GOMRICK, of the home; a son, Brian BERG and wife, Cindy, of Calhan, Colo.; a brother, Frank WHALEY and wife, Helen, of Minneapolis, Minn.; two sisters, Donna Peltz and husband, George, of Chicago, Ill., and Valaire Renne and husband, Gordy, also of Minneapolis, Minn.; and three grandchildren, Daniel, Rebecca and Rex. The Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., on Friday, Jan. 30, 2004, at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service Oleander Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004, at Bible Baptist Church. Mrs. Gomrick will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church.
