    3. John E. DIPERNA, 76, of Ruffsdale, R.D. 2, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 1994, in Frick Hospital and Community Health Center, Mount Pleasant. He was born Oct. 31, 1917, in Blairsville. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a construction worker for the Eidemiller Construction Company. He was a member of the Laborers Union Local 1058, the East Huntingdon Firemen's Club and the Mount Pleasant Firemen's Club. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Army during the Battle of the Bulge, for which he received a Purple Heart. Surviving are his wife, Betty Sheppard Diperna; three sons, John Diperna of Hermanie, Richard Diperna of Grafton, W.Va., and Edward Diperna, at home; 10 grandchildren; three brothers, Patrick, Carl and Tony Diperna, all of McKeesport; and two sisters, Zella Holly of McKeesport and Kathryn Mahulson of Perryopolis. He was predeceased by his stepfather, Patsy Diperna; his mother, Zella Newhouse Diperna; and a brother, Augustine Diperna. DIPERNA - John E. Diperna of Ruffsdale, R.D. 2, died Sunday, Jan 16, 1994. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the EUGENE G. SALOOM FUNERAL HOME, INC., Main Street, Mount Pleasant, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. William M. Chittesler officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Lebanon Cemetery. Not related to me. Just sharing a resource. Carole Clarke
