Betty Brooks CARUSO, 64, of Mount Pleasant died Friday, Feb. 27 at St. Francis Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born Jan. 17, 1923 in Mount Pleasant, a daughter of the late John S. and Alice Miller Brooks. She was a retired registered nurse who worked at Frick Community Health Center and the Andrews Air Force Base Hospital in Maryland. She was a member of Reunion Presbyterian Church of Mount Pleasant. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Mildred Frethy and Carolyn Bartges, and a brother, Joseph Brooks. She is survived by her husband, William J. Caruso Sr.; a son, William J. Caruso Jr. of Mount Pleasant; three daughters, Alice Gentine of San Antonio, Tex., Cynthia Caruso of Alexandria, Va., and Mrs. Timothy (Pamela) Fox of Scottdale; seven grandchildren; one brother, Clifford Brooks of Tampa, Fla., and four sisters, Mrs. Frank (Marge) Zipnock of Ruffsdale, Mrs. Robert (Thelma) Tidd of Belle Vernon, Mrs. Robert (Esther) Seeno of Aurora, Ohio, and Mrs. John (Shirley) Basista of Brecksville, Ohio.
