Mrs. Mary Jane Bennett, 87, a lifelong resident of this district, was found dead in bed at her home at Thornton, Pa., at 6 a.m. today by her son, George BENNETT, also of Thornton. Death was attributed to advanced age. She was born here December 24, 1844. She married John BENNETT, who died approximately 20 years ago. In addition to George BENNETT, she leaves five other sons: Albert, of Brownsville, Pa., Sherman, of South Brownsville, Pa., James, of Brownsville, Pa., Walter, of Thornton, Pa.; four daughters: Mrs. Rachel Meese, of Brownsville, Mrs. Charles Seider, of South Brownsville, Mrs. Tille Anderson, of South Brownsville, Mrs. J.R. Reagan, of Thornton; one sister, Mrs. Hannah Meese, of Brownsville,, and a brother, John McCUNE, of Brownsville Township, Pa. Fifteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren also survive.
