William ALLISON, of 78 McClellandtown Road, died at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, April 9, 1931, following a prolonged illness. Mr. Allison was born in Westmoreland County, October 10, 1858, the son of the late G. A. and Catharine H. Allison. He first came to Uniontown in September, 1879, in the capacity of manager of the Western Union Telegraph Company. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Rachel Waltz Allison, two daughters, Mrs. Walter Shafer, of New York and Miss Rachel Margaret Allison, at home; one son, William McMaster Allison, of New Haven, and one grandson, Robert William Allison. Private funeral services will be solemnized Saturday in the mortuary chapel of J. Harry Johnston & Sons, 65 (?) North Gallatin Avenue. Friends are requested to please omit flowers. Not related to me.
