Can anyone tell me where to research death certificates and/or dates of death? I sent the required forms and fee to the Pennsylvania vital statistics requesting a death certificate for my great grandmother. She was born Carrie Shaw Davidson in Fayette. She married Oliver Crawford and was widowed. At the time of her death she was married to William Peckman. I submitted the query under the name Carrie or Caroline Peckman with a date of 3/5/20 which is the date of her death written in the family Bible. However, they could not locate a death certificate. She died in Allegheny County. Are death certificates also filed in the County? Would appreciate any advice and strategies. Thank you, Janet Watson
